Message from the Dean

Welcome to the School of Theology of Perez University College, Winneba. The School of Theology (SOT) is the premier School of Perez University College. It started in 2001 at Adenta in Accra, as Pan African Theological Seminary. The name was later changed to School of Theology in 2005, when it re-located at Winneba. The School is affiliated to Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, one of the best theological institution in sub-Saharan African. Since 2001, the School has trained pastors and personnel for the church in African and beyond. We have graduated students from Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Togo, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Gabon, Cote D’ivoire, and Equatorial Guinea among others. The goal of SOT is to train and produce pastors and leaders/workers who are competent to lead and serve the church, para-church organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other faith-based organizations .

The School of Theology is a congenial place to develop pastoral traits, and intellectual sophistication for serious work in the church and society. We take the pastoral formation and psychology of each student a critical essential of the School. In that regard, we create one of the best centres for learning, teaching, and research work for our students and faculty. We emphasize small-class size to improve student-lecturer relationship. One of the distinctive feature of SOT is experience and formation. SOT is unflinchingly nursing the desire to have a relationship with you. I invite you to consider SOT the preferred School for your ministerial/pastoral training aspirations, and to review our page periodically to familiarize yourself with current developments and opportunities in SOT .
